 What You Need to Know

When you become an RTO, you need to complete a mandatory self-assessment. This document is 48 pages long and is designed to evaluate your capability to deliver quality training. It is also vital that you have evidence to back up your claims. As a result, you will need at least 40-50 additional documents to support your claims. It is important to prepare this document thoroughly, as it will help assess your capabilities to be a successful RTO.

Before becoming an RTO, prospective applicants must fill out a fit and proper person declaration, which includes information about their background and previous association with other RTOs. In addition, prospective applicants must assemble their evidence and submit it through asqanet, the registration service of the Australian Skills Qualification Authority. If you do not follow the rules, you may be subjected to huge fines and even imprisonment. You must take this step carefully to avoid unnecessary hassles in the future.
